Friendly service and yummy ice cream. A must visit for a yooper vacation!

Cute shop with cloth napkins, socks and other souvenirs. The icecream selection is small but there are some good flavors. The staff is good but not even slightly friendly as you might expect. The cashier on they day I was there was the only one who was friendly saying "thank you have a good day" . Other wise there were some good flavors and unique cones. The prices were great and reasonable except for the unique cones. Would recommend but there are other places to try that also are not anywhere else.

The frozen flamingo has a great selection of ice cream. If you choose a cone of some sort, just go with a waffle cone or regular cone. The specialty cones taste cheap but still not bad. If you like good ice cream, check it out.

Great Prices and Good Ice cream. The fact that it Is more of a gift shop has nothing to effect their Ice Cream. I was Surprised we walked out with 6 cones only costing us $12.

Overpriced

First time in the UP I expected better. We were told to go to the frozen flamingo for ice cream. We walk in family of 6 and no welcome or hello. Then we look around start picking up shirts and souvenirs to purchase(all 6 people). My wife asked politely if they by chance had any non dairy selections to a young man behind the ice cream counter to a blunt no! I then made my way over and one of the ice creams had just a name I asked him what was in the ice cream he answered me. Our good friend walks up and asked him what’s this one while pointing at the bucket he simply gives her just the name in a put out manner. At this point we all put our stuff down and left probably a $200+ sale! If you can’t handle the public don’t work in it! I’m pretty sure your business and town thrives on tourism like it or not you won’t stay in business like that! I hope it gets better it was a nice little store.

Good ice cream and cones but limited varieties. Most of the shop was a gift shop.

Walk in 1 minute after close, at 10:01, after standing outside waiting for line to go down. over 4 people getting ice cream still and they make us leave and say they won’t serve us.That’s corny.

We visited the Frozen Flamingo after doing a Pictured Rocks kayak tour (with Northern Waters Adventures- HIGHLY recommend!). Super cute souvenirs! And the ice cream was exactly what we needed to cool off after the kayaking adventure!

An average, very seasonal tourist approach to an ice cream shop 90% trinkets 10% icecream shop . No restroom for customer use...sending kids to the Bar and Grill next door for a restroom is sub optimal......

This place can be deceiving because it is also a store, but the icecream is delicious! The mint chocolate fudge (Makinaw fudge) was amazing. Plus, they have 4 different specialty cones to choose from instead of just the simply waffle cone.

Selection of about a dozen flavors of Jilbert's ice cream & a variety of specialty cones are the highlight here. Efficient system of handling large groups of customers...one scooper & one cashier kept the line moving quickly. Nice job guys! The rest of the store has a small mixture of touristy souvenirs & candy.

Not as many ice cream options as I'd hoped, but what I got was good

There's good ice cream and souvenirs with offensive language. Pretty much sums it up.

What's not to love? Real-deal ice cream, hand scooped, (though it's not made on site) surrounded by gifts and kitsch. Do I remember what flavors I had? No. Trust me. It was delicious. Large back patio with tables and chairs to sit and enjoy your treat. When the need arises for ice cream in Munising, this could be your port in the storm.

Nice, little, quaint place in Munising. Perfect for after a long hike 😊 The cones aren't our favorite even though they look good, they really aren't great. Recommend over DQ but that's because we like locally owned, hand dipped ice cream over soft serve. Enjoy!
